Applications are invited for the post of Lecturer (teaching focused) in East Asian History at the University of Manchester.
Candidates with interests in any area of East Asian History are encouraged to apply.
You will contribute to established survey and Masters Courses. The appointee will have research and teaching interests focused on the history of East Asia in the period from Late Imperial China to the present.
Level 1 - (first-year undergraduate) Teaching will include contributing to the core course, ‘History in Practice’, ‘From Middle Kingdom to Economic Superpower: The Making of Modern China, 1800-2000’.
Level 2 - “From the Jesuits to the East India Company’
Level 3 - You may devise and teach a specialist course.
The successful candidate will supervise Level 2 Long Essays and Level 3 Dissertations.
