The School of Language and Global Studies at the University of Central Lancashire wishes to appoint a Lecturer in French Translation and Interpreting to contribute to the academic development, module management, teaching, research development and scholarship within the School in the area of French translation and interpreting.

The successful applicant will have a good Honours Degree (or equivalent) in a relevant area and a relevant postgraduate qualification.

Experience of teaching French, translation and interpreting in a higher education environment is essential. An ability to teach and to supervise dissertations and projects up to Masters level, as well as an ability to undertake research and/or knowledge transfer, is also required.

The post-holder will have an excellent record of working as part of an academic team, fluency in French and English with an understanding and appreciation of cultural norms, excellent presentation and communication skills, as well as being IT literate and demonstrating a willingness to develop innovative approaches to teaching and learning.
