Senior Data Coordinator
Lancashire Clinical Trials Unit (CTU) has a varied and exciting portfolio of Clinical Studies, we are looking for an enthusiastic person to support the Lancashire CTU by providing a consistent approach to co-ordinating data handling and quality across a number of trials. The person would be responsible for co-ordinating data entry and data quality processes (validation, verification and reporting) and implementation of these processes across Lancashire CTU-managed research.
The post holder will assist the Trial Management Team and other staff (e.g. Chief Investigator, Senior Data/IT manager, Trial Statistician) in preparing and collating all essential data collection and data management documentation required for new and existing studies. They will work closely with Senior Data/IT Manager and Trial Management team to validate all data collection items, aligning them with the database and ensuring clinical research data quality and compliance with GCP and ethical approvals.
The successful candidate will have a good standard of education evidenced by GCSEs or equivalent and experience of clinical trial data entry. Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and Internet Explorer is essential as well as the ability to prioritise and delegate work to meet deadlines.
Experience in assessing and responding to non-routine work situations is essential, as is the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
