Assistant Lecturer in Manufacturing Simulation and Robotics
Working in the School of Mechanical, Aerospace & Automotive Engineering, you will be committed to contributing to our continued success in delivery of engineering programmes. The successful candidate will be able to contribute to the delivery of topics relating to manufacturing simulation, CAD and robotics with a particular emphasis on industrial application. An understanding of Industrie 4.0 and its future developments would be advantageous. You will need to share our passion for delivering a positive student experience that puts excellence in teaching and learning at the heart of everything we do and will be able to demonstrate significant knowledge in your area of specialisation. We are firmly focussed on preparing students for successful careers, in the context of industry's current and future demands. We have a strong tradition of business-focussed research. Applicants should have, as a minimum, a higher degree in engineering or equivalent industrial experience. Experience of teaching and supervising student project work would be advantageous.
The successful candidate will be a highly motivated self-starter and able to communicate with students, engineers and academia at all levels. You will provide support to senior academics for module delivery and assessment as well as STEM/Outreach activities and Open Days.
