Assistant Professor in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy
About the position
The Faculty of Health Sciences and Medicine invites applications from qualified academics interested in joining our growing team. The Faculty is seeking to appoint an Assistant Professor who will play a key role in the delivery of the Musculoskeletal health subjects and content across the Faculty’s Doctor of Physiotherapy program. This position will also contribute to the Faculty by supporting other academic staff in optimising delivery of Problem-Based Learning approaches in the Physiotherapy program.
About the person:
The successful applicant will be registered or registerable as a Physiotherapist by the Physiotherapy Board of Australia. A doctoral qualification in the relevant discipline of Physiotherapy is required. Postgraduate qualifications specific to Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy are also desirable.
Demonstrated experience in clinical education and in teaching and student education in a physiotherapy context is essential. Experience in Problem Based Learning approaches is also desirable. The successful applicant must also demonstrate a commitment to the facilitation of innovative teaching, inter-professional learning activities and application of research to teaching in physiotherapy and with other disciplines.
Experience and particular knowledge with a proven track record in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy teaching and clinical is essential.

Remuneration range for this appointment is $112,778 - $133,575 plus superannuation per annum. Salary and academic level will be determined at the time of appointment based on skills and experience. Salary packaging is available for eligible employees.
