The primary purpose of the position will be to contribute to ongoing research in transport econometrics. The position will support econometric modelling in a wide range of transport research contexts, from safety, to travel behaviour, to land-use and transport.
Applicants should possess a PhD in in the area of econometrics. You should have demonstrated expert knowledge expert knowledge and application of econometrics to transport-related problems. The research work will focus primarily on the analytical support behind sophisticated econometric models using large transport datasets.
The successful candidate will demonstrate an ability to to establish effective relationships and to represent and promote academic discipline at a university and wider community level, including industry, government and professional bodies. It is expected applicants will have an established record of publication in high ranking journals and refereed conferences and well evidenced contributions to research in this area.

This role is a full-time position; however flexible working arrangements may be negotiated.

This is a full-time, fixed term appointment for 12 months at Academic Level B. The remuneration package will be in the range $92,142 - $109,419 p.a., plus employer superannuation contributions of up to 9.5% (total package will be in the range $100,896 - $119,814 p.a.).
