 Responsible for providing administrative support for the Associate Provost for Diversity & Inclusion and assistance in managing the APDI's calendar, managing projects, initiatives, and communications related to the office of diversity and inclusion. Manages multiple on-going meetings of several key groups under the APDI's leadership. Facilitates the work of other key initiatives that have university-wide influence. Orders catering for meetings, books rooms and venues, etc., and submits reimbursement reports in accordance with University policy. Manages the travel for the APDI or deputies.

Required Skills

B.A. /B.S. and excellent communication and organizational skills, including ability to write well and to deal effectively and diplomatically with various constituencies. Careful attention to details is necessary as is the ability to appropriately and sometimes quickly sequence and prioritize workflow. Must be able to work independently, to anticipate Associate Provost's needs, to set priorities in consultation with others and manage competing demands, and to handle sensitive/confidential information. The position is ideal for a motivated, entrepreneurial professional who has demonstrated project management experience. Ability to conduct research, synthesize and analyze data and other information, and to produce written reports and evaluations is desirable. In addition to the above, successful candidates will undertake their work with a keen sense of purpose, humor, curiosity, and an overall level of calmness, even while juggling multiple complex projects. Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and WordPress helpful.
