Faculty of Science
The Faculty of Science is a large and diverse faculty within UQ that incorporates seven schools and four research centres across two campuses and several other sites. It has a large population of domestic and international students and administers the Bachelor of Science and related dual programs plus a range of generalist and specialist undergraduate and postgraduate degree programs.
The units within the Faculty of Science are internationally recognised and their teaching and research successes create a stimulating environment within which the Faculty staff work. The Faculty is managed by the Executive Dean, who has direct responsibility for the physical, financial and human resources, academic matters relating to programs and students, and a range of other areas such as the development of research, national and international marketing, and enhanced government, business and community links.

The position works within the Faculty of Science Student and Academic Administration team. The position will be primarily located on the Gatton Campus. The primary role of the position is to be the first point of contact for enquiries to the School of Veterinary Science.
The position will also have responsibility for completing a diverse range of administrative processing tasks with regard to all enrolment and student academic matters relating to students in the Faculty’s programs. The position is required to provide high quality customer service through the delivery of friendly, helpful, accurate, and informative advice and services to students, professional and academic staff.
Applicants should possess an equivalent combination of relevant experience and education/training. Applicants should have a strong desire for the provision of high quality customer service, the ability to work as part of a team, good judgement and the ability to organise work flow to meet competing demands and deadlines. Well-developed written and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to utilise IT systems is a must. Experience and knowledge of University policies and procedures relating to student administration is highly desirable.
This is a full-time fixed term appointment at HEW Level 4. The remuneration package will be in the range $59,429.60 – $63,305.88 p.a., plus employer superannuation contributions of 9.5% (total package will be in the range $65,075 - $69,320 p.a.).
