The Research Systems and Performance team are the central research administrative unit responsible for monitoring and supporting research performance through providing systems and processes to collect, maintain, report, analyse and showcase information about the University’s research activities.
As Research Systems Coordinator within the Office of Research and Innovation you will play a lead role in ensuring smooth operation of the research information systems and related tools to support administration of the University’s research activities. This includes taking responsibility for the administration and ongoing maintenance and development of the research information systems.
Your highly developed interpersonal and communication skills will complement your technical expertise. Working collaboratively with stakeholders to clearly investigate and identify their needs, providing advice on the optimal use of currently available research systems and tools, and offering ongoing support will be a core focus of this role.
Technical functions such as system maintenance, application upgrades, application configuration and role-based user access, troubleshooting and issue tracking will also make up an integral part of your regular responsibilities.
The demonstrated ability to self-motivate, use initiative and work autonomously with minimal supervision will be critical to your success, as will be the ability to make sound judgements and manage and prioritise your time effectively to deliver outcomes and meet deadlines.
A degree level qualification (or equivalent experience) in Information Technology is essential for this role, as is extensive experience in leading client support activities, small project management, and systems support. You will be particularly adept at using current and new technologies relating to web-based information management systems and connections between systems, along with a high level of competence in the use of Office 365 software.
