Lecturer in Music & Worship
London School of Theology is the largest interdenominational evangelical theological college in Europe with over 300 full-time and 1,000 distance learning students. Students come from all over the world, from a wide variety of denominations and range in age from 18 to over 60 years. LST is seeking to recruit a Lecturer in Music & Worship. The post carries teaching, tutoring and research supervision responsibilities for the undergraduates and taught Masters and Research programmes in areas such as worship studies, music, liturgical theology, as well as pastoral care and administrative responsibilities. The postholder is expected to have an ongoing and viable programme of research
The postholder will report to the Director of Music & Worship Programmes. Key tasks include the delivery of on-campus and online teaching and module leadership of 40 credits a year across programmes; develop and participate in the delivery of the MA programmes; supervise L6 Theology, Music and Worship and Theology and Worship projects and supervise L7 and L8 research. The postholder will be expected to lead LST Chapel events and support Music and Worship Programme events, Summer School, conferences, concerts and evening lectures
This is a 0.6 FTE Faculty post.
Occupational requirement: There is an occupational requirement for the postholder to be a practising Christian in accordance with the Equality Act 2010: Part 1, Schedule 9.
The role is expected to start 3rd September 2018.
Salary: £21,836 pa (£35,643 pa FTE)
Hours: 21 hours pw (0.6 FTE)
