Group Management Accountant

Within the University, Finances Services supports academic colleagues, students and other professional services staff to achieve strategic objectives and maintain a financially sustainable organisation. The post of Group Management Accountant sits within the Financial Reporting team. The role provides an exciting opportunity for a qualified accountant to take responsibility for a number of areas in group budgeting and month end reporting in a large and diverse organisation.
The purpose of the Group Management Accountant role is to take responsibility for the production of the monthly group management accounts, including a meaningful commentary that explains all material variances. The Group Management Accountant will also be responsible for producing meaningful year end financial forecasts.
The post holder will play an instrumental role in the annual budget process. They will maintain the budget project plan and manage and collate all of the budget submissions across the University Group. The Group Management Accountant will be responsible for costing activity across the Group and developing the cost attribution model. The post holder will also provide support to the Financial Accounting Team during the year end process.
