Starting Salary: £46,336 per annum (Band K, Spine Point 42)
 Annual Leave: 30 days per annum plus University Closure days

The OD team are at the forefront of supporting the University in working towards its Vision 2025. Our forward-thinking OD strategies create a supportive environment in which staff can explore new possibilities and fully develop their career paths. We now need a creative go-getter to lead this mission. 

Embedding an inclusive approach and embracing innovative learning and development (L&D) concepts, you will design, deliver, monitor and review relevant activities, and develop leadership capacity. 

As we embrace new challenges, following a period of substantial change, with your contribution we will work towards our ambitious vision for the future. Bringing new opportunities to the table, you’ll relish the challenge to bring this ambitious project together. 

Staff engagement and wellbeing will also fall under your radar. We need someone to drive our staff volunteering and outreach programme and action plan, and also implement and embed a robust staff equality, diversity and inclusion strategy. This will complement the work undertaken within other areas of HR. You will also oversee the induction process for new joiners. This is a fantastic multi-layered role in which you can sink your teeth into new challenges on a daily basis, so we’re looking for someone who can really accelerate the OD objectives. 

You’ll need to have good numerical and analytical skills to manage budgets. With fantastic written, verbal and presentation skills, you will be ready to develop good working relationships with external vendors and staff at all levels. A natural leader and motivator, you will be CIPD qualified with relevant knowledge of designing, delivering and commissioning OD solutions within a service-driven organisation. If you’ve previously worked in the Higher Education sector and have professional qualifications in coaching or mediation that would be a huge plus, but is not essential.
