Head of Student Inclusion
The University of Bristol seeks to appoint a Head of Student Inclusion who will lead the development, implementation and monitoring of a whole institution approach to creating a more inclusive learning environment that supports all students effectively, including those from under-represented backgrounds in the UK and international students. The postholder will lead on student inclusion in relation to student experience, engagement and support, and will work strategically to address issues relating to inequalities in academic attainment.
We are seeking a highly experienced manager with outstanding communication skills and the ability to build relationships and influence at all levels. As Head of Student Inclusion, the appointee must have a strong knowledge of the principles, theory and practice of equality, diversity and inclusion, as well as an awareness of broader developments relevant to this area. The successful candidate will have an extensive track record of relevant work experience, demonstrating expertise in relation to student inclusion, and management experience of people and resources. Proven advanced analytical and problem-solving capability, as well as the ability to exercise good judgment and use creativity and evidence to underpin risk-aware decision-making are essential.
