Senior Transitions Officer
Library and Student Support Services is designed to support the University and its partners' teaching and learning, student experience, research and other academic related business activities.
The Senior Transitions Officer is an integral part of the Student Funding and Access Support team within Student Support Services. Reporting to either the Student Funding Manager or the Student Transitions Manager, you will act as the primary point of contact for non-traditional students in identified target groups (mature students, care leavers, estranged students and student carers) as well as for any students requiring additional financial support.
You will be involved in a variety of projects within the team, ranging from the provision of 1:1 pastoral support for students through to coordinating the efforts of the team to provide additional transitional support to our target groups. You might also be expected to use techniques such as social media, impact and evaluation to market and monitor our work. You may also manage direct line reports and participate in the planning and delivery of events and workshops for these target groups as well as at Open Days and other Recruitment Visit Activities..
You'll need to be customer focused, have excellent communication skills and be able to work independently and as part of a team. Planning and organisational skills and the ability to work flexibly to meet the needs of the service are also required.
