An exciting opportunity has arisen for an innovative and motivated individual to contribute to the implementation of the educational elements that will underpin the North West Ambulance Service (NWAS) patient care strategy. The post will be based at UCLan but will also involve liaison with Edgehill, Liverpool John Moores and Cumbria universities.

This post would be ideal for an experienced Paramedic or educator working within Pre Hospital Care settings; who possesses a clear understanding of the post-qualification educational needs of the paramedic workforce within the North West Ambulance Service. The applicant must be Health Care Professions Council registered and will ideally be educated to post-graduate level.

The applicant must be committed to student success and experience, and be able to show that they can effectively lead and support learning and teaching in both the classroom and practice setting. The applicant will need to be able to work as part of a team, as well as being self-reliant, and be able to demonstrate key leadership abilities in either clinical practice or education. A teaching qualification or experience would be an advantage, as would experience in project management.

Secondments from the ambulance service will be considered, but applicants are advised to seek the support of their line-manager before submitting an application.
