Lecturer in Russian Studies
The School of Language and Global Studies at the University of Central Lancashire wishes to appoint a Lecturer in Russian Studies to contribute to the academic development, module management, teaching, research development and scholarship within the School in the area of Russian Studies.
The successful applicant will have a good Honours Degree (or equivalent) in a relevant area, a relevant postgraduate qualification, and a PhD.
Experience of teaching Russian Studies in a higher education environment is essential. An ability to teach and to supervise dissertations up to Masters level, as well as an ability to teach Russian language at all levels, including Post A-Level, is required. An ability to undertake research and/or knowledge transfer, is also essential.
The post-holder will have an excellent record of working as part of an academic team, fluency in Russian and English with an understanding and appreciation of cultural norms, excellent presentation and communication skills, as well as being IT literate and demonstrating a willingness to develop innovative approaches to teaching and learning.
