Practice Nurse / Nurse Prescriber
The University of Bristol Students’ Health Service plays a pivotal role in student life by offering a unique and leading edge NHS General Practice to around 20,000 University students and their dependents, most of whom are in the 18-24 year age group. The practice nursing team consists of highly skilled primary care nurses and healthcare assistants providing a range of services and support within a well-established and friendly environment.
The practice is looking to recruit a part time practice nurse or nurse prescriber to work 3 full days a week (Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, 9-5pm).
Occasional working on a Saturday morning or Monday/Thursday evenings (approximately twice a quarter) is also required.
This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced medical professional to deliver a high quality service within a dynamic and rewarding environment. You should be an experienced practice nurse ideally with experience or knowledge relevant to working with the student age group. Experience of working in a University or similar setting would be an advantage but is not essential as is a Non-Medical Prescribing qualification.
We would expect a practice nurse to undertake the prescribing course and post graduate clinical examination course once in post. Full support would be given.
The grade and salary will be dependant on the applicant. It is anticipated that interviews will be held on 10th July 2018.
