CENTRE FOR HOLISTIC TEACHING AND LEARNING (CHTL)

The Centre for Holistic Teaching and Learning assists the University in its pursuit of excellence in education and the creation of transformative learning experience for our students. The Centre aligns its initiatives to the University's strategic direction of becoming a research-led liberal arts university of global significance, through promoting teaching and learning excellence, outcomes-based approach, and e-learning. The Centre now invites applications for the following position:

Project Officer / Assistant Project Officer (PR419/17-18)

The appointees will be responsible for (a) assisting web applications development and testing; (b) assisting websites design and maintenance; (c) server setup, configuration and administration; (d) any other duties assigned by the supervisors, in the CHTL.

Applicants should possess a relevant Bachelor's degree or above with substantial relevant post-qualification experience. Excellent command of English and Chinese is required. They should have good communication, problem-solving and analytical skills.

Hands-on experience in PHP, HTML/CSS3, JavaScript, MySQL, MS SQL or equivalent database is required. Familiar with Linux (Ubuntu, Fedora, CentOS) and Apache is highly desirable and a definite advantage. Knowledge in data security technology, such as SSL and encryption, is preferred. Applicants with less qualification or experience will be considered for the post of Assistant Project Officer or Project Assistant.

Initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract of one to two years commencing as soon as possible. Re-appointment thereafter is subject to mutual agreement and availability of funding.

Rank and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
