Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Bioscience, Level B/C
- Based in the School of Pharmacy & Medical Sciences at City East campus
- Part-time at 0.4 FTE, three (3) year fixed term contract
- Salary range: $96,813 - $136,753 pro rata per annum (plus 17% super)
About the Job
The School of Pharmacy and Medical Sciences focuses on applied research and professional education, enriched by the professional knowledge of its staff, state-of-the-art facilities, and strong partnerships with industry, community, and professional bodies.
In this Teaching Academic position, you will focus on the preparation and delivery of teaching activities within the School’s undergraduate and/or postgraduate programs. You will also contribute to the development of curricula and will utilise professional/discipline-related expertise to deliver high-quality teaching across the disciplines of chemistry, biodiversity and natural resources.
As the Senior Lecturer, you will have leadership responsibilities for the teaching team and will support the professional development of colleagues through mentoring and peer review.
Skills and Experience
To be eligible for this position, you will have a doctoral qualification in Bioscience or a Masters in a relevant discipline, or professional/industry experience.
Specifically, to be eligible for the Teaching Academic Level B position, you will have ability to undertake teaching duties including the design and preparation of teaching activities along with experience in using a range of contemporary teaching methodologies.
For Teaching Academic Level C position, you will have experience of academic leadership and proven commitment to mentoring and supporting the professional development of colleagues.
To be successful at both the levels, you will have excellent communication, organisational and administrative skills along with an ability to work independently and as part of a team.
