Post Doctoral Research Associate in Theoretical Computer Science
Applications are invited for a Post-Doctoral Research Associate position on the grant “The Complexity of Promise Constraint Satisfaction”. The successful candidate will work at Durham University under the guidance of Professor Andrei Krokhin and Professor Daniel Paulusma. The research in this grant will investigate the complexity of and algorithms for a broad class of computational problems, called Promise Constraint Satisfaction Problems, via methods of universal algebra and discrete mathematics. More details on the grant can be found at http://gow.epsrc.ac.uk/NGBOViewGrant.aspx?GrantRef=EP/R034516/1.
This post is full time and fixed term for 36 months.
The post-holder is employed to work on research/a research project which will be led by another colleague. Whilst this means that the post-holder will not be carrying out independent research in his/her own right, the expectation is that they will contribute to the advancement of the project, through the development of their own research ideas/adaptation and development of research protocols.
