The Research Institute of Sport and Exercises Sciences (RISES) is seeking to appoint a motivated post-doctoral researcher to support the musculoskeletal biomechanics work of the European H2020 project OACTIVE. The project targets patient-specific OA progression prediction and interventions by using a combination of mechanistic computational models, simulations and big data analytics. You will work in collaboration with other research groups involved in the biomechanics aspects of OACTIVE and in particular KU Leuven in Belgium and CERTH in Greece.

You will work on data collection, analysis, modelling and simulation and dissemination related to biomechanical aspects of osteoarthritis linked to the OACTIVE H2020 project. You will also be expected to make a broad contributions to the academic work of the Research Institute for Sport & Exercise Sciences through the work of the OACTIVE project with a particular emphasis on musculoskeletal modelling and simulation.

This is a fixed term for 30 months (possibility to extend to 36 months subject to funding and performance review).
