Business Intelligence and Data Management Developer
The Business Intelligence and Data Management Developer is responsible for leading the development and management of important business intelligence systems that support the administrative needs of BU School of Public Health (SPH). The Developer will interface with leadership to elicit and understand administrative and academic data needs based upon strategic and tactical questions facing institutional leaders, faculty and staff at the SPH. The right candidate will translate these needs into the design, development, maintenance and documentation of a database to support data driven management and decision-making. The position requires working in and across a team-oriented environment within SPH and the broader university, with involvement in projects, data documentation and governance processes.
Requirements: MS in computer science or related field. 8+ years of experience as database developer and administrator with significant SQL production experience. Experience with logical and physical database design. Knowledge of SQL database development, query tools and encryption technologies. Fluent in relational database concepts. Must be knowledgeable in software development lifecycles and methodologies. Solid analytical and problem solving skills, strong presentation and collaboration skills, and the ability to communicate all aspects of the process. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
