Resources Librarian, Subscriptions and Open Access

Salary: £28,936 per annum
Working Hours: 36 Hours (1.0 FTE). Some flexibility to work evenings and weekends may be required.
Reports to: Head of Information Resources & Content
Annual Leave: 20 days plus University Closure days

Library Services aims to enable members of St Mary’s community to engage in scholarly activity and realise their personal potential.
We are seeking a professional librarian who is looking to develop their career and broaden their experience. This role offers the opportunity to work with both library subscriptions and open access publishing. You will co-ordinate the provision of subscription based library resources and related services in support of taught programmes and research activity. You will also oversee the operation of the university’s research repository and help to enable our academic staff to comply with the open access requirements of the REF.
The successful candidate will have a professional qualification in a library/information related subject or be appropriately qualified by experience. They will have an interest in and an understanding of library e-content access management technology, library subscriptions and licensing and open access publishing.
