About the Job
Information Strategy and Technology Services (ISTS), which has the primary strategic and operational responsibility for the provision of the UniSA’s considerable IT infrastructure and services has approximately 150 staff in 8 key areas. The University’s IT Administration Teams ensure the effective and efficient support of specific information technology solutions using a variety of technologies.
As the Information Technologist (System Administrator and Integrator), you will contribute to the design, implementation and support of IT systems, applications and services. You will improve the performance of the IT function through system support which involves: project planning, feasibility studies, systems analysis, requirements definition, systems design and technical implementation, integration and testing, acceptance, administration and maintenance.
Skills and Experience
To be eligible for this role, you will have the relevant tertiary qualification (normally a degree) or extensive experience supporting, maintaining and upgrading third party software in a complex, integrated environment. You will also have experience in designing, developing and supporting integration between existing systems in a complex operating environment along with significant experience of security issues at applications, database, networking and operating system levels.
To be successful in the role, you will have well developed interpersonal, communication, client management and leadership skills along with high level understanding of the tools and concepts of continuous quality improvement processes.
