Risk and Safety Assistant
Salary: £20,989 - £23,557 per annum
Hours: Full Time (37 hours per week)

A new position has arisen for a Risk and Safety Assistant, to support our Risk and Safety Manager in the provision of Health, Safety and Risk Management support, guidance and advice across the three University sites. This will involve completing risk assessments and COSHH assessments, ensuring the University is compliant with current legislation and providing advice and guidance to staff and students on all matters relating to health and safety including the preparation of internal and external shows and events.
The successful candidate will have an IOSH managing safely or NEBOSH National General Certificate and have good knowledge and understanding of current Health and Safety legislation. They will also be able to build excellent working relationships internally and externally and be able to work independently and as part of a team. Previous experience in an educational institution and knowledge of Health and Safety in the University sector are desirable.
