Administrative Assistant - Partnership Support
The role is fixed term for 12 months
The School of Education has a vacancy for an Administrative Assistant to play an important role in supporting the work of the School’s Student Services Section.
Working under the direction of the relevant Office Manager, the post holder will provide administrative support to the School’s Partnership team. The post is currently based at Queen’s campus, Stockton, but which will be permanently relocating to Durham City campus in summer 2018. As such the post will be predominantly based at Queen’s campus until June 2018, but there will be a need to travel to Durham occasionally to support the transition. From July 2018 the post will be based entirely in Durham.
The post holder will be educated to a good level with excellent administrative and IT skills. They will have the ability to work independently and manage their own workload, mindful of set objectives and priorities, ensuring that deadlines and queries are dealt with in appropriate timescales. They will integrate themselves with all colleagues to generate a good working atmosphere and provide assistance to others as necessary. They will have a flexible and can-do approach and deliver a high professional standard in their work.
