Field Education Coordiantor, School of Social Work, Off Campus and Online Prog
The Field Education Coordinator has responsibility for placing MSW students in clinical internships in Boston and surrounding communities, developing and evaluating new internship sites, consulting students advisors, teaching a section of the Seminar for New Field Instructors, collaborating with other field education staff to develop the Foundation Student Field Seminar, facilitating information sessions and field preparation seminars as needed: and serving as an advisor to 6-9 students. .
The Field Education Coordinator represents the School of Social Work to a range of social work and human service agencies and practitioners in the community. The position requires diplomacy, transparency, and a sophisticated understanding of professional education and practice as well as ability to problem solve, to hear many perspectives on issues, and to mediate competing interests. The Coordinator will be expected to participate in and contribute to new initiatives in the Field Education Department and/or other areas within the School of Social Work.
Master's degree in Social Work required, 5-8 years of post-MSW experience in clinical social work practice including supervising clinical social work interns. LICSW and experience in diverse urban communities preferred. Position is full-time, 12 months. COVER LETTER REQUIRED.
