CEMML is a unit within the Warner College of Natural Resources at CSU. CEMML applies science to support the sustainable management of natural and cultural resources on Department of Defense and other public lands. CEMML provides technical support, conducts and applies research, and offers career development and other learning opportunities to support resource stewardship and align with the mission of the college and university.

Position Summary

Provide general administrative support and coordination, including clerical tasks, on behalf of CEMML’s director for the benefit of staff. Manage unit-level records and common resources at two on-campus offices, coordinate facility maintenance with other university offices, plan unit events, and provide hospitality to visitors.

Required Job Qualifications

B.S./B.A., OR a High School Diploma, General Education Development (GED), or equivalent with a minimum of three years full-time office work experience in providing diverse administrative support. Experience with Microsoft Office Suite applications. Familiarity with office equipment. Demonstrated attentiveness to detail and strong communication and organizational skills. Good arithmetic skills.

Preferred Job Qualifications

Experience in managing website content. Knowledge of general business practices and information flow. Experience with event planning and execution. Skilled in customer service and time management. A valid driver’s license is preferred. Experience in solving daily challenges independently. Strong interpersonal skills. Ability to communicate clearly in writing.

Essential Duties

Work within established universities and policies wherever applicable.
Organize and schedule meetings.
Organize outgoing mailing and shipping, and sort and deliver incoming mail.
Provide orientation for new on-campus employees.
Order office supplies and telephone service and leases. Coordinate and process special requests or services, including requisitions and internal orders, from quote to completion.
Process business card and employment identification orders.
Coordinate campus service collections.
Coordinate maintenance of center vehicles.
Coordinate quotes for repairs and service for office equipment and building issues.
Manage office space and moves.
Other duties as assigned.

Assist in updating records of on and off-campus capital equipment.

Track and coordinate service recognition and associated materials.
