The School of Management has a strong reputation in Marketing and Branding, and seeks a Professor in Marketing to lead a newly created research centre in Marketing, International Business and Branding.
The School of Management is looking for committed and ambitious individuals to lead in readiness for a more inclusive REF2020. These Centres will provide academic leadership and ownership of the curriculum, line-management and day to day responsibility for staff engagement, performance management (including setting objectives) and development. This is a direct move away from a more traditional departmental academic structure. The new School of Management structure will promote a core tenant of the Faculty 10-year vision (2017-2027) that places relevance and research at the centre of the curriculum.

The post(s) requires that each Head is accomplished academic, with success in research and knowledge exchange, as well as an innovative and creative approach to curriculum enhancement. The ability to persuade, influence, motivate, and establish credibility with a wide range of stakeholders; within the organisation and across the sector is essential.
The successful candidate will be a member of the Chartered Institute of Management, and have teaching and research interests aligned across the UG, MSc and MBA programmes in the School. We are particularly interested in hearing from those with knowledge of:

  • Service Marketing
  • Digital Marketing
  • Corporate Branding

The successful candidate will be an established leader with a sustained track record of publishing at 3*-4* level, successful completion of PhD/DBA students and a track record of mentoring staff. The Professor will also be expected to work with senior colleagues on new programme development with an ability to articulate a number of successful interventions to enhance the student experience.
