An exciting opportunity to join the School of Science and Technology at UNE, as Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Computational Science has become available. About the role
Within this role you will be required to develop and teach quality programs of study within the Computer Science discipline. Administration duties related to your areas of responsibility such as research projects and teaching units, will also be required. A key aspect will be research related activities, including technology development for interdisciplinary research, in areas such as health, education, agricultureecology and sports science disciplines. The role offers the opportunity to be involved in a multitude of other interesting Computer Science research projects and to test new and innovative ideas.
Skills & Experience
You will be an active researcher with an interest in collaborative and interdisciplinary research in Computer and/or Data Science or a related area. You will enjoy contributing to teaching within a selection of the following areas: artificial intelligence, cloud computing, data science, internet of things, programming languages, web programming, graphics programming, sensor networks, databases, mobile development, computer vision, signal and image processing, computational modelling, mathematical computing, and embedded systems.Excellent communication skills, the ability to work well as part of a team and to develop and maintain positive relationships with students and colleagues will be essential.
