Environmental Engineering research at UOW has established an enviable reputation attracting a large number of national competitive research grants and industry collaboration funds. The School of CME has a strategic imperative to extend these activities and welcomes applications from candidates able to publish in top tier journals in the field of Environmental Engineering, particularly in water/wastewater treatment and reuse, and attract research funding whilst developing industry links further.

This position will be expected to establish a vigorous research program that complements and enhances our research capability in Environmental Engineering and play an important role in the development of the teaching and research programs at the UOW. This position will be required to supervise Honours and Higher Degree Research (Masters and PhD) students and contribute to School and Faculty level governance and administration.

This role will teach at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels in areas of core Environmental Engineering such as, but not limited to, environmental engineering design, application of conventional and advanced technologies (e.g., membrane technology) for water/wastewater treatment and reuse, environmental modelling and impact assessment, air and noise pollution and fundamental engineering subjects including sustainability for engineers. One of the key responsibilities of this position would be to ensure Engineers Australia specified learning outcomes for all students. This will involve delivery and coordination of subjects/programs that provide a strong link to both theory and practical application and provide students with strong motivation and interest.
