The Department for Education, Childhood and Inclusion has a wide remit with a commitment to enabling its graduates to work in a wide variety of roles, often, but not exclusively, in educational settings. We recently were rated as 3rd highest performing new university for education research in the 2014 REF, and are currently actively seeking to enhance performance in the 2020 REF.
As a Lecturer in Education you will teach on the portfolio of UG and PG courses within the Department prioritising disability and social justice focussed delivery. You will teach across a range of education modules; designing and delivering innovative, high quality and challenging learning experiences, which equip your students with the skills, knowledge and attributes required by employers. You will also have responsibility for academic tutorials and some placement visits.
You must have a well-developed and current knowledge and understanding of critical, practical and theoretical issues relevant to education and experience of teaching, training or supervising. The ability to inspire, motivate and connect with a range of stakeholders is also essential. As a member of the academic team you will contribute to the development of our research and knowledge exchange profile in areas linked to education.
