Senior Lecturer in Chinese Translation Studies

£52,132 - £64,080 pa
The School of Histories, Languages and Cultures wishes to appoint a permanent Senior Lecturer (teaching and research) in Chinese Translation Studies. This appointment represents a significant investment in Modern Languages at Liverpool and is framed with respect to the department’s ambitious future plans and reflects the strategic development of departmental, school, faculty and university research priorities.

You will have a PhD in Chinese Translation Studies, or a relevant related discipline, and an established record of publications of international excellence in the field. You will also have successful experience of designing and managing Masters programmes in Translation and Interpreting Studies. Preference will be given to candidates whose research interests relate closely to at least one of the university/faculty strategic research themes: Digital Humanities and Social Sciences, Medical Humanities and Social Sciences, Cities, Security and Conflict, Slavery and Unfree Labour, Heritage, Children and Childhood.
