The School of Health and Human Sciences provides an exciting and innovative learning environment and works with individuals, families and communities in order to meet their health needs and requirements. The School is distinctive for its multidisciplinary understanding of client care, commitment to the prevention of disease and promotion of healthy lifestyles and working with Indigenous colleagues to develop culturally appropriate models of care. The School offers fields of study across a broad range of health-related professions including biomedical science, clinical exercise physiology, diabetes education and management, midwifery, nursing, occupational therapy, osteopathy, pedorthics, podiatry, psychology, speech pathology, and sport and exercise science.
About the role
The School is in an exciting growth phase. We will be offering the Bachelor of Psychological Science from the Gold Coast campus in 2019, and a combined degree in Exercise Science and Psychological Science is also currently being developed.
To support this growth we are now seeking one appointment to join our Coffs Harbour campus and two appointments to the Gold Coast campus.
You will be an energetic academic, ready to commit to the University’s values and priorities, engaged and innovative in your approach to the role, and keen to make a contribution to the University and the community through your activities.
You will display a student centred approach to your teaching, enjoy applying new and existing technology, a commitment to reflective teaching practice and capacity and/or experience in blended and online teaching modes.
You will have a track record in scholarship and research, as evidenced by publication output, grant applications and supervision of honours/higher degree research (HDR) candidates.
