Employer Engagement Officer (Maritime Super- Skills)
The Department of Maritime and Mechanical Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering and Technology, Liverpool John Moores University is seeking to appoint an Employer Engagement Officer to support the ESF-funded Maritime SuperSkills Project.
The project is a collaboration between Higher and Further Education providers and employer stakeholders in the Liverpool City Region. It will support a nationally aligned Trailblazer employer group to develop a complete pipeline of maritime/logistics/advanced manufacturing apprenticeships from Levels 3 to 7. These standards will be available for delivery to maritime sector employers to upskill their workforce, and recruit higher and degree apprentices sufficient to meet business growth plans. The project will also promote higher-level apprenticeships in manufacturing-based priority sectors by developing a supportive environment for employer engagement.
You will lead all employer-engagement activity at LJMU in accordance with LJMU’s Strategic Plan and with ESF outputs and outcomes, ensuring rigorous compliance with all relevant contractual commitments. You will work with national and regional maritime employers and other stakeholders, as well as internal curriculum staff to effectively co-ordinate all Trailblazer activity. You will assist the project staff in delivering project outputs to a high and measurable standard.
