Post-doctoral Fellow in One Belt One Road Studies
Applications are invited for appointment as Post-doctoral Fellow in One Belt One Road Studies in the Department of Urban Planning and Design, to commence from January 2018 or as soon as possible thereafter, for a period of three years.
The Department launched the One Belt One Road Urban Observatory (http://fac.arch.hku.hk/upad/cusup/OBORobs) in May 2016 to drive forward urban research on and in regions associated with the Belt and Road Initiative, with cutting-edge urban science techniques and policy analytics. The Department is seeking energetic and productive candidates to help investigate the impact of mega infrastructure projects in the One Belt One Road cities on local land and housing development.
Applicants must have a Ph.D. degree in urban economics or closely related field with specialization in one or more of the following sub-fields: land valuation, GIS and urban accessibility, road infrastructure appraisal, spatial network analysis, and land and housing market. They should also have a good track record in publication.
A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.
