Lecturer in Children Schools and Families
We are seeking two outstanding individual to join the Children Schools and Families Team within the School of Social Work Care and Community. This is an exciting time to join a dynamic team as we move forward with the development of new programmes in line with the Degree Apprenticeship Scheme.
The successful candidates will have experience of teaching in the subject area of Children, Schools and Families, Young People and their Services, or a closely related area within a higher education environment, together with a knowledge of UK and international current research and work related practice. They will also have a portfolio of excellent practice experience in an appropriate field. An underpinning knowledge of Apprenticeships and Degree Apprenticeships is beneficial.
Holding a good honours degree, Masters and PhD in relevant areas, the successful candidates will have a flexible and innovative approach to teaching and learning and the ability to teach and supervise dissertations up to Masters level.
An ability to contribute to income generation and the aptitude to enhance research outputs within the team would be an advantage.
Applicants need to meet all essential criteria on the person specification to be considered for interview. This position is based in Preston, but will involve travel to partner colleges. DBS clearance is required for this role.
