This is a full time post; flexible working requests will be considered.

In response to several years of sustained growth and success, and planned further expansion, on 1 August 2017 the School of Management & Business became the ninth King’s College London faculty - the King’s Business School. The development of the School is a central transformational initiative within Vision 2029, which sets out the University’s long-term strategic objectives. Our aspiration is to reimagine the business school curriculum and focus on the new challenges faced by the private, public and third sectors.

As part of its Education Strategy, the College is appointing nine prestigious Academic Education Professorships, one in each Faculty. These appointments are characterised by very high standards of excellence and aim to attract the world’s best educators.

King’s Business School wishes to appoint an outstanding educator, of international standing, to add impetus and creativity to the School’s current offer. The appointed individual will support the development of the Business School’s education strategy and will take lead responsibility for the delivery of one or more strategic education projects in areas such as curriculum design, assessment, technology-enhanced learning, knowledge exchange, student support and effective pedagogies.

Additionally, the postholder will be the lead demonstrator and practitioner in establishing pedagogic innovation and consistently outstanding teaching practice, acting as a role model in this respect to other staff in the Business School. Providing support and mentoring for staff, especially early career staff, those on the Academic Education Pathway and Teaching Fellows, will also be a key focus for the role.

You will be an outstanding educator, whose excellence has been recognised through faculty, institutional or national award schemes. You will be committed to your own ongoing professional development and remaining at the leading edge of practice. You will be a natural collaborator, able to support and encourage educational development within the School.
