The Bristol Medical School in the University of Bristol has is looking for a highly motivated statistician to work with the co-ordinating team of the Antiretroviral Therapy Cohort Collaboration, a highly successful international research group working on the prognosis of individuals starting treatment for HIV infection, currently funded by the National Institute for Health, USA.

The post-holder will work on merging new data on alcohol, tobacco and other substance use from European and American HIV clinical Cohorts and will use survival analysis to determine their effects on cause-specific mortality and hospitalisations. There will be opportunities for presenting results at international conferences, publishing in high impact journals and influencing treatment guidelines.
