IP and Commercialisation Coordinator
Working with the Knowledge Exchange Manager, your role will involve extensive engagement with academics and with business, supporting the University’s patent pipeline, licensing activities and a wide range of knowledge exchange funding opportunities.
Your skills in gathering, analysing and communicating information and your diligent record-keeping will contribute to the development of robust, exploitable intellectual property and productive relationships with licensees. Drawing upon excellent inter-personal skills, you will establish new business relationships that harness University expertise and intellectual property for innovative products and services. You will promote academic engagement in knowledge exchange and commercialisation projects and you will provide close support for funding applications, both pre- and post-award.
We are looking for a confident, motivated, pro-active communicator with demonstrable aptitude for fostering collaboration with business partners, preferably at the higher education-industry interface. Any experience of handling intellectual property matters and familiarity with the knowledge exchange funding landscape would be highly desirable, but individuals who are keen to develop skills and experience against non-essential criteria are encouraged to apply.
This role offers the right candidate the opportunity to contribute to and further develop some of the University's most innovative offerings, enhancing Sheffield Hallam's reputation as one of the UK’s leading applied universities.
We particularly welcome applicants from underrepresented groups
For non-EU applicants, we won't be able to provide a certificate of sponsorship / visa for this job.
