Based in Milton Keynes 

We are seeking to appoint a member of staff at Senior Lecturer status to teach and lead developments in the discipline of Education Studies (Primary) as Programme Leader.

You will lead and manage a small team of lecturers involved in the development and presentation of curriculum in Education Studies Primary.  You will lead on curriculum development, module design, and teaching and learning practice advancing scholarship and research. You will be involved in developing new areas of business in the four Nations, and in relation to higher level apprenticeships. These will entail continuing external relationships with employers.  

You will have a doctorate in a relevant discipline with an excellent understanding of primary education policy, research and practice based on first-hand knowledge of settings and working in higher education. You will have experience in using information and communications technology to enhance learning. You will have an excellent command of written and spoken English, and will be used to communicating, mainly through writing, to a variety of audiences and in a range of contexts.
