The BEL Faculty Advancement Manager is a senior member in the Advancement team responsible for the planning, co-ordination and delivery of the Faculty's philanthropic and fundraising program.

The role

The successful appointee will be expected to raise funds on behalf of the BEL Faculty within the University structure and to develop close working relationships with the Executive Deans, discipline leaders/chairs, and faculty to maximise fundraising efforts. The primary purpose is to cultivate and foster relationships  with current and prospective donors at the major gifts level.

The person

Applicants should possess a postgraduate tertiary qualification with relevant experience in major gift fundraising through individual and corporate donations. You should also have highly effective organisational and planning skills including excellent attention to detail and accuracy; excellent communication skills; and appreciation of the role that donors and volunteers have within fundraising strategies.

Demonstrated knowledge and experience of philanthropic methods used in identifying, building, securing and maintaining high value relationships applicable to universities is required.

The successful applicant will possess a positive attitude with a strong sense of leadership and collaboration in a dynamic team environment.

Travel and work outside of standard hours may be required.


This is a full-time, continuing position at HEW Level 8. The remuneration package will be in the range $92,811.16 – 104,214 p.a., plus employer superannuation contributions of up to 17% (total package will be in the range $108,589 - $121,930 p.a.).
