Senior Demonstrator - The School of Pharmacy and Biomedical Sciences
The School of Pharmacy and Biomedical Sciences is seeking applications for a Senior Demonstrator position to provide support during the practical phase of students undertaking postgraduate research projects for Masters Programmes. Successful applicants will be utilised in disciplines including physiology, cell biology, pharmacology, biochemistry, and cell culture.
With a Bachelor or Master Degree in a Life Sciences or related discipline, the successful applicant will have experience working as a demonstrator in student laboratories. They will also have undergone some training in COSHH and risk assessment. The successful applicant will be able to provide general academic support for laboratory work being performed by students.
Motivated and able to work independently as well as in a team, the successful applicant will hold excellent communication skills and be able to liaise with both academics and students.
The total number of hours is up to 192 hours and will be for up to 3 days a week over a period of 8 weeks. Successful applicants will be employed as Staff Paid by the Hour (SPH).
