The University of Worcester now seeks a Head for the Business School. With undergraduate programmes ranging from finance and management, to computing and web development, and postgraduate programmes including the MBA, the Business School offers an interdisciplinary, contemporary and highly flexible portfolio. It is outward-looking and supports business growth and employability in the region through a strong emphasis on business enterprise and work-related learning, and has built a reputation for delivering a supportive and student-focused learning experience.
Reporting to the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, the Head will provide academic and strategic leadership to the Business School, as well as contribute effectively at university level as a member of the University Leadership Group. Successful candidates will be able to evidence a track record in developing and growing innovative and attractive courses, leading and inspiring a team of academic staff and forging effective and enduring links with the external business community. The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to student achievement, opportunity and choice, relevant and impactful research and knowledge exchange, and community engagement. Energetic and combining drive and imagination with a keen sense of integrity, they will offer a positive ‘can do’ attitude and approach, and a commitment to developing the Business School to meet the opportunities and challenges of the next decade.
