Griffith University's School of Medicine is known for its innovation and excellence in health research, education and service. The school offers a postgraduate medical program, as well as undergraduate and postgraduate programs and courses in public health, environmental health, health services management, First Peoples' health and paramedicine that have been developed to serve the needs of South East Queensland, Australia and the international community. The focus of the school is to produce graduates who, through application of knowledge and skills, are able to develop a commitment to service, teamwork, scientific inquiry and lifelong learning.
We are currently seeking Lecturers/Senior Lecturers to support the School's educational mission in relation to paramedicine. You will work within a small team of academic paramedics to contribute to the development and delivery of the School's Bachelor of Paramedicine and Master of Paramedicine programs through implementation of high quality learning and assessment activities. You will also contribute to scholarship and research in the areas of prehospital care and paramedic education.
These are continuing, full time and / or part time (50%) positions based at the Gold Coast campus.
To be successful within this role, you will possess a minimum of a bachelor's degree in paramedicine or extensive equivalent experience and qualifications. Applicants at Level C should ideally possess (or demonstrate progress towards) postgraduate qualifications in a relevant field, ideally at doctoral level. Experience in the development of curriculum and learning and assessment activities in paramedic education coupled with the capacity to undertake research and scholarly activity in fields related to paramedicine or paramedic education will be essential. Applicant should alos possess extensive experience in paramedic practice at Advanced Life Support level (or equivalent).
Senior Lecturer, Level C: $113,326 - $130,657 (pro rata for part time) per annum. Salary package including 17% employer superannuation contribution: $132,593 - $152,891 (pro rata for part time) per annum.
Lecturer, Level B: $92,511 - $109,860 (pro rata for part time) per annum. Salary package including 17% employer superannuation contribution: $108,239 - $128,537 (pro rata for part time) per annum.
