The University of Canberra is seeking an experienced Manager, Psychology Services to co-manage the Psychology Services of the clinic, provide individual and group supervision for Clinical Psychology students, and make effective contributions to scholarship and professional activities relevant to the School of Psychology and Counselling, in particular to Clinical Psychology.
Reporting to the Head of Discipline of Psychology and Manager, Faculty of Health Clinics, you will have the opportunity to assist the HoD to develop and maintain a strategic plan for the Psychology Services within the Faculty of Health clinic. Utilising your experience in Psychology, you will provide individual and group supervision for Clinical Psychology students undertaking individual and group-based clinical work and cognitive assessments to support the strategic plan of creating high quality innovative courses at UC. You will also be responsible for organising external placements and for placement site visits. As an experienced individual, you will be engaging with local clinicians and organisations to support the referral of suitable clients to the Psychology Services of the Faculty of Health Clinics. You will also support research possibilities within the Psychology Clinic.
Apart from the relevant training and experience you will need to hold a higher degree in Clinical Psychology (PhD preferred) and be registered with AHPRA with clinical endorsement and as an endorsed supervisor of postgraduate clinical psychology students (or equivalent). As a team player, your ability to communicate, foster and maintain strong and effective relationships at various levels of internal and external stakeholders within the profession of Psychology and within the University will be critical to the success of this role.
