Assistant External Relations Officer (PR389/17-18)

The appointee is expected to support the External Relations Manager to execute communications and social media strategies; organise promotional events of different scales; prepare press materials for all media events; develop bi-lingual communications materials such as corporate brochures and newsletters; manage content development of websites and social media platforms; and perform other ad hoc duties as required.

Applicants should have a Bachelor's degree with preferably five years of relevant work experience; excellent command of English and Chinese (both Cantonese and Putonghua is essential); good communication, interpersonal and problem solving skills; strong knowledge and understanding of social media platforms; good computer literacy in Chinese Word Processing and MS office. Knowledge of graphic softwares, e.g. Photoshop and InDesign system, would be an advantage. The appointee is also expected to be detail-oriented, self-motivated with a strong sense of responsibility, able to work proficiently and independently under pressure.

Initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract of six months commencing as soon as possible. Re-appointment thereafter is subject to mutual agreement and availability of funding.

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
