About the Job 

The Horizon Hospital and Health Service in the School of Nursing and Midwifery provides students with an authentic simulated healthcare environment to support a range of learning and simulated client care experiences to develop the skills required for contemporary evidence based nursing care. As the Registered Nurse: Horizon Hospital and Health Service, you will support the simulated / situational clinical learning for students enrolled in the School’s undergraduate and postgraduate programs, located at the City East campus. 

You will contribute to development of learning materials, participate in skills demonstrations, work collaboratively to develop case studies and scenarios for students to utilise in the simulated environment, and draw upon your clinical expertise in your feedback of student competencies. 

Skills and Experience 

Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a registered nurse is essential, as is expertise in a variety of acute care, critical care, paediatrics and child health, midwifery, community nursing or aged care areas. Previous experience in a simulated learning environment will be highly regarded. 

You will also contribute to building positive and constructive relationships at all levels of interaction and will demonstrate cultural sensitivity and an international perspective. Your highly developed interpersonal skills, organisational ability, and problem solving capacity will ensure that you are successful in this role.
