Job title: Security Officer, Full time, Fixed Term Contract, several vacancies
Salary: £20,857 to £22,308 pa inclusive of London Weighting Allowance
plus a 24/7 shift allowance of £2,164
Contract: 6 Months Fixed Term contract with possible extension
We are looking for security officers to work as part of the team to provide an efficient and effective Security service across all campuses of the University and additional off campus buildings and sites from time to time used or occupied by the University or any of its constituent Colleges.
In order to be considered for this role it is essential that you:
- Hold and maintain an SIA Door Supervision Licence
- Are able to make good decisions in emergency and stressful situations, which could happen at any time, day or night.
- Have knowledge of ensuring compliance with the security standard instructions.
- Have experience of working within the Security services
- Be flexible over hours worked, which will include shift cover
- Are able to maintain confidentiality.
The main purpose of the role is to provide a high level of operational technical expertise and undertake responsibility for the operational supervision of the Maintenance Technician Team in effectively and efficiently delivering the maintenance service and resolution of Support requests and logged issues to the satisfaction of the customer. This includes the analysis of ‘Footprint’ information to monitor team and individual performance and trends.
