About the opportunity
The Education Support Officer Stage 2 and oversight of PAAM and CAH provides a broad range of education administrative and operational support to Academic and Teaching staff to meet the educational support needs of the Clinical School. Coordinates the compilation of academic content and materials prepared by Academic and Teaching staff for research-based programs of study, for printed publications and/or uploading to blackboard/online systems. Provides education support services in line with academic requirements and the overall timetable for the work area. Coordinates accreditation requirements for one or more programs of study. Ensures compliance with relevant legislative and regulatory controls, and ensures a safe working environment for all staff and students.

- tertiary qualifications with some relevant work experience; and/or equivalent combination of relevant experience and training
- excellent time and workload management skills with demonstrated ability to prioritise effectively, manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines and achieve required outcomes
- experience delivering education programs, preferably in a tertiary education environment
- experience of collaboratively assisting clinical academics with student supervision and support
- willingness to adjust working times during peak periods, and cover other staff positions temporarily, as required.
Experience working within health services in an education role or a tertiary environment with knowledge of Learning Management Systems such as Blackboard and understanding of timetabling/rostering of student activities would be advantageous.
The Nepean Clinical School is a clinical teaching unit of the Sydney Medical School and includes Nepean Hospital and the Blue Mountains Hospital. The school coordinates the clinical education for approx. 160 medical students.
The Education Support Officer - Stage 2 and Psychiatric And Pain Medicine (PAAM) Children’s and Adolescent Health (CAH) oversight, coordinates the clinical teaching program for Medical Students of the Nepean Clinical School, University of Sydney Medical Program, particularly in relation to Stage 2.
